What makes Oxford such a good place to work in AI?

Oxford is one of the few places that is at the forefront of both technical AI research and AI policy/governance issues, so that makes it an ideal place to understand the implications of AI for society.

What is the biggest opportunity or challenge in AI?

I think one of the biggest issues is mutual understanding and knowledge transfer between researchers on the AI policy side and researchers on the technical side. Oftentimes the former doesn't understand key aspects of the technical research and the latter doesn't consider the broader implications of their technical advances.
