What makes Oxford such a good place to work in AI?

Oxford offers fantastic opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, which is essential to designing and deploying AI in a responsible fashion. The ability to work on the challenges presented by AI across departments and disciplines, involving expertise from computer scientists, mathematicians, philosophers, ethicists, lawyers, political and social scientists, is invaluable.

What is the biggest opportunity or challenge in AI?

To avoid undue disruption, AI must be embedded in existing workflows and daily behaviours with due respect given to organisational, cultural, professional, and societal norms. The biggest challenge facing AI is to deploy it in such a way that it supports, rather than merely automating or replacing, human intelligence.
